I swapped from a mechanical fan to electric fans on my radiator and everything is working fine but there is a noticeable jolt on my electrical system when they kick on. A voltage follower seems to fit my needs well to ramp up the voltage but the ones I've seen seem to be for things with less draw. Is it possible to build one that will handle this kind of load? If so, how would I go about doing so?

Try disconnecting one fan and see if the jolt is acceptable with only one fan starting at a time.  If so there is a simple fix with a couple of  relays a resistor and a capacitor.  It will delay the second fan for a second or so.  I can look for the diagram this evening.  It is on this site.  Maybe someone else can find it for you today.

well I have them set up so they both come on in series when my pcm triggers a ground at the turn on temp and then in parallel at the programmed hot-temp. So pretty much they come on at half-speed together.
