Hello, I am going to install an alarm on a 98 Maxima, and I was wondering about the locking and unlocking system. I have a regular alarm system that the client purhcased with single lock and unlock pulse. How would I go about connecting this alarm system to work the lock/unlock mechanism. Is there a way to connect a regular single pulse alarm system to unlock all the doors. The type of alarm that is going to be installed does not allow you to disarm the alarm twice. After it has been disarmed, by pushing the disarm button again will not do anything. Please help!
Any help appreciated....thanks....

Most alarms and starters have a double pulse as a programmable option, what alarm is it?

You can do what zargon says, but don't whore yourself out...charge for the DEI part plus a little markup, plus extra labor too. But be sure to carefully explain why this is.
If your customer didn't do research before his purchase, it's not your fault. After all, if he came right to you first, you'd have sold him the correct product, wouldn't you?
So don't feel bad for charging him extra. With any luck, he'll return this alarm and buy one of yours.
