Hi everyone, i just installed a prestige aps997 alarm in my 02 ford explorer xlt, everything works even the rs when i have the key in the ignition on the off position, now i just got this bypass to deal with. i know black is ground red is 12 volts and the yellow is not used, now the RED / black said remote inpu sense, now i read through some threads to try to do this without posting but didn't find a definite answer, one said the RED / black wire goes to the ground output while running, which in my case is a light blue wire, so i connected it there, just don't know if it's the correct one, now the other thing is the antenna goes around the ignition cylinder or the transponder at the beggining of the key hole? Thanks for your help in advance.

the ring goes before the transponder loop. also, the Ground when runing, you can test it from your main unit by using a DMM. put red to 12v and black to the GROUND WHEN RUNNING OUTPUT from the unit. when you Activate the remote start ONLY, the unit should send out a ground, and you can make sure by the DMM showing 12v or so.

k the running output is fine i checked it. and the ring you said goes before the transponder, but there is nowhere for it to hang on to. Does it go around the transponder or do i just hold it with the rubber thing on top of the key opening.

hold it in place around the transponder. fitting it in the rubber at the key opening is very hard and it wouldnt work as well. maybe looking at this will help.
