I just installed the 1WAM-S Compustar remote starting system on my 2000 Audi A4 1.8t manual, and got everything working except the starter!

When I press the start button, the doors unlock, the accessory power turns on, the instrument cluster lights up, but then the brain clicks and everything turns off.  It then cycles through 2 more times like this and then nothing.  Can anybody give me an idea what might be causing this?  I checked all wires numerous times and they seem alright.  12V wire seems to be giving full power according to digital multimeter.

Thanks a ton!

Wow, that simple.  The directions said nothing about the clutch so I didnt touch it.  Can't believe it, just bypassed the clutch and it works!!  Thanks a ton!

do you have the compustar Manual unit or the Auto? if you have the auto, its unsafe to use that, but if you got the manual in your car, you are good to go.
