06 explorer and python 460hp

hey man,         the python 460 is just like the viper model 350, its a basic alarm with a build in shock sensor. Still a very reliable unit with a starter kill. I would rather recommend a 871 python ( a 2 way system). but either way your still good. There are also tons of extra stuff you can get to make it better, such as glass break sensors,radar sensors, and backup batteries, etc etc. I live in and work in the richmond area, feel free to PM me for anything ya need. the built in shock sensor is easily adjusted, I usually set it sensitive enough to alarm when the car is actually hit enough to disturb the car itself. Something like this i usually set before you'd leave. If it was set all the way up or too high in general the car could be set off due to bass for other cars, etc.A back up battery would be a good investment , along with all the other possible optional parts, but it really depends on your needs for the alarm also.I'm going to bed now (gotta work another 10hr day tomorrow)so feel free to PM or email me at WreckelessModz@gmail.com and ill get back to you really soon. Thanks for all the great help.  We live in a pretty decent neighborhood, but lately the area has been targeted for vehicle break-ins.  It looks like a lot of knuckleheads in my area are leaving their GPS navigation systems in the car.  I don't even have one, I use road atlas and compass, LOL. 

Okay, went to circuit city and the alarm is in.  Only gripe is they did not hide the antenna, but otherwise it looks good.  I did peek under the dash and to make sure I didn't see a rats nest of wire.  It looks decent, but while driving my big foot, pulled a wire loose.  No biggy, I plugged it back in and all is well, also repositioned it out of the way of my big foot.  I will keep you informed and let you know if I want to add something else.

out of curiosity, which circuit city did you have your alarm installed? I work at the red box now a days. I'm kind of a old school installer by method and do things my own way and don't take any shortcuts to alot for time, such as rerouting brains and bypasses anywhere i can hide them, all wires uniform,taped loomed, and install all the proper safety,and programming toggles. I think the main goal of having a unit installed is to have it appear as if it were factory. I think most will agree with me here. The main goal of an alarm system is as a deterrent against potential perps, and i dont doubt that you got what you paid for none the less. To stay on topic i think you should consider getting a back up battery and/or possibly a glass break sensor or some other kinda of extra security. Also do you know if the installer who installed the unit put in the supplied starter kill? There are also other cool extras you could pick up, such as window roll up modules that would roll up your windows with the lock (great in the summer) and can put up and down the windows with the push of a button. yea some bog box stores cut corners so as spookie mentioned, check if there is a starter kill. sit inside your car, arm it then after 30 seconds try to start the car. the car shouldnt start and the alarm should start wailing. I agree with you spookie, the point of an alarm is to make it appear factory ( seemless integration ). if you find any issues bring it back to them and have them fix it.
