Hey guys-

This is my 1st Post! I have used this forum alot in the past, as it is always filled with usefull info...

Now i need some help from you guys, I have a 2002 WRX, I bought it with a APS596 already installed, about 3 months ago I removed the battery to work on the car, and when i reinstalled it, The Park lights were instantly ON. and the alarm was stuck on, and  I am and my whits end trying to find an answer. So here is what i have already tryed. I have turned the car on, off, Tryed the valet button, tryed the valet button 3 time with the ign on, unpluged and repluged the alarm over and over, and the battery. I have not fould a way to shut down the Park lights or alarm. so i have left it unpluged until today when i was messing around with it. I have also tryed to program the remote (ign on, valet 3x, ign off, remote lock, ign on, ign off) and nothing still the same thing...

If anyone has any Answers, it would help me out alot!!!! - Thanks, Ian

Many Subaru owners don't realize that there is a switch on TOP of the steering column that turns the parking lights ON and OFF. It is the only way to turn the parking lights ON when the ignition is in the OFF position. Have you checked that switch? You may have hit it accidentally when cleaning the inside, or working on something.
