I had a viper 790xv installed years ago in my 95-96 lumina. Everytime I remote start it the alarm goes off. But its not consistent. It will go on and off. Also the lock and unlock chirp are extremely quiet but when I put it in programing mode the chirps are fine. Any idea.

It also will go off even if the car isn't armed. So whenever it gets remote started it will go off.

Not sure how this goes but my gut says failing ignition connection. Do you have a battery back up siren, if so the internal batteries are failing and frankly it's cheaper to replace the siren.

Just figured it out. The ground was ripped out of the ring terminal. Got that fixed everything is a ok.
