i'm having  problems with the ignition wires on this truck. i've done tons of these trucks but for some reason this 1 has been difficult. all the wires are connected right but when i try to remote start it  it seems as though the ignition wires are not getting 12 volts. so i tested all my connections to make sure that they are correct and they are but it seems like there should be another ignition wire somewhere because the pink and white wire won't power the instruments on the dash and i know from past installs that if hat doesn't happen it will not work. i'm not sure where to find the ignition wire needed to power the dash cluster. i have the direct tech diagram and i followed it wire for wire where have i gone wrong on this 1. i can normaly do these with my eyes closed but not this one. oh yea the bypass module and keyless entry combo has programed just fine its working well so i know for sure that it has no problems at all. is there something that i'm missing or what?

You gotta power up the accessory wire to get the dash lights to come on in these trucks. Power up the orange wire...

the orange wire is getting power during the remote start as a matter of fact it getting power about 3 to 4 seconds before the remote start engages. it just seems as though that im missing something somewhere and im not sure where. ive checked the hood pin wire thats not the problem. because when i hook all the wires exactly as i should it will sometimes try to engage the gages on the dash but it will only engage them for just a moment and then the alarm will prompt me saying that the remote start has turned off. but if i unhook the white wire then it will try to start but wont. the bypass is doing its job but it want start because there's no power getting to the dash somehow or another. ive owned this shop for about 11 yrs and ive never had this problem on a job thats so simple before. i normaly have my biggest problems out of the bypasses not the remote start. thanks for your response because i worked on this alarm for about 9 hrs yesterday and 8 of those hrs was spent working on this problem. sometimes its just good to hear from someone else that has been there and done that. thanks. if you have anymore suggestions please let me know

Two ideas- Is your second ignition truly an ignition hot---ie;  is hot during "run" and "crank"  - it may be set to accessory hot- or starter hot

and- have you tried a new "brain" box- I have seen them come from the factory with poor contacts on the internal relays- will show 12v - but not "pull" 12v with enough amps to energize the ignition wire.

maybe it's your tach wire?   i usually go behind the cluster(spedo) to a white wire in chevy trucks.

Unplug every plug from the remote starter and verify each circuit with a digital volt meter first. This includes every circuit the remote starter is attached to, not just the main power wires.I have seen some remote starters that show 12 volts on the main power inputs even with one fuse blown. The power can feed back through the module and register 12 volts on one wire with a blown fuse. Make sure that if your starter has programmable outputs, that it is programmed correctly. If you are powering the brown accessory wire in the truck, it must be powered as a true accessory wire (drops to 0 volts during crank). Verify that you have a good ground and it is attached to a paint free area of the body and not a piece of steel in the dash. As suggested, you could have a bad module too.

thanks guys for all your help and i must let you know that the problem was simple. the truck had recently had L E D  tail lights installed and it was feeding back power through the brake wire and causing the remote start to shut down as soon as i tried to remote start it. what i did was installed an diode inline to prevent it feeding power back to the remote start. thank you guys for everything because i was caught off gaurd by this.
