1n4001/l vs 1n4002will both work?

About to install an alarm on a 2003 Ram QC and need to isolate the door triggers. I have read everywhere that the diodes needed are 1N4001/L. I have access to some 1N4002 at work. Underneath those letters it says 032T. I was wondering if these will be ok to use instead of the 1N4001/L. I know the 4001 are rated for 50v and the 4002 are rated for 100v but what I am not sure is the letter L. What does this stand for and will the 1N4002 work? Please inform...thanks.E. Munoz

I use whatever I can get my hands on. If it is for door trigger isolation, either will work. I have used 1n4002, 1n4007, 1n4001, 1n4003, ect. It is only a 12vdc circuit, not much current anyways for alarm sensing isolation.The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.

Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya
