I am going to have a viper 2 way transpoder alarm and remote start put in a 2008 Pontiac soltice.  I call directed and they told me I needed a XK01 for he doors and a XK06 for the remote start.  The shop that is going to do it said they can do it all with just the XK01.  Is this possible?  I really do not want to leave the car there all day just to find out they have to order a XK06.  Thank you

Yes it can be done without the XK06 (actually bypasskit.com does not list the XK06 as an option). The XK01 will bypass the passkey and they can use resistors for the mux starter wire.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

The XK01 arms/disarms the alarm, locks/unlocks the doors, opens the trunk, and provides a door trigger output for the alarm system.
It does not bypass the immobilizer key for remote start.
Where I work, we just use a universal bypass box and a blank aftermarket key........the XK06 costs more, but will work.
If factory arm/disarm and driver's-priority unlock aren't important, the locks could be done without the XK01 as well.
