I have a 99 s10 and it has remote start. I shaved the handles and installed the kit. Could someone point me in the right direction as to how I can just have 1 remote instead of two.
Thanks Jake

So .... with no door handles, does the truck still have locks?

If not, you can use the lock/unlock outputs to trigger your door pops. Say, lock for the drivers door, and unlock for the pass.

It's my thought that without handles you don't need the locks.   Just a thought.

What is installed. (the remote start) and was keyless entry part of the install originally?

And say..... how do you get into your truck if the battery poops out? Just another thought.remote start and shaved doors -- posted image.

shaved handle kits come with their on fob with 2 buttons , one for driver and one for the pass. door. If you want to use something like a viper system etc for alarm/keyless/rs/etc. You can set it up to unlock the driver door on the first unlock to pop the driver door, and two times for pass door. Or set it up on the aux channel. I use unlock for mine. ^^ if you were to use lock for a door pop like KarTune said you'd arm a alarm and either set it off in the parking lot or on the road, or disarm it by poping the pass dorr (riding alone) :(
GL and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask of PM me

ps, most kits also come with a lock out push button of some sort. So if you lost your key fob you cna hit the button (hidden obviously) or if you lose it all together, you can strip the switch and use a 9v to pop the door, etc.

The kit (AVS) comes with backup wires that are hidden that you just touch to a battery and the drivers door pops.
I am still not sure how I go about getting them on 1 remote.

yeah, you can pick up another remote from most authorized dei retailer, or snag one offline, it should include instructions on programming it also, or one of us can help ya out on reprogramming the new remote
