Do you know if you have an aftermarket or factory alarm? Either way, I'm sure you can program it (or unprogram) the "ignition-controlled door locks" feature. Do you know what type of alarm it is, or have a manual?

This is a factory feature that your vehicles owner manual should have instructions on how to deactivate this feature.

Thanks for the quick response. the car does not have any sort of factory keyless entry or alarm adn theres nothing in the owners manual that tells how to deactivate it. my brother has a 00 grand prix and it shows how to shut his off but unforrtunately it doesnt work on mine. if any of you have any suggestions let me know.

Thanks in advance!!!

There may be no way to deactivate this feature. The only thing you may be able to do is program your remote starter to lock the doors after shutdown.
