window module problems

ok i've run into a snag. BTW new to the forum :) ok i have a 2008 honda civic sedan and i am trying to install a window module into it with the factory alarm. this is the wiring diagram for the module: http://wolfcominnovations.com/images/vs/acc/pw400/pw400wiringdiagram.jpg if i am reading the diagram right i have to cut the UP wire on the driver window harness for each window and connect the switch side of the wire and the connect the motor side of the wire to the appropriate wires on the module. then the const 12v, ground and alarm arm wire to the module. i have tried looking for the orange alarm wire as it says for the 2006-2007 civic but i have been unable to find it. so maybe the 2008 has a little different wiring but i have no access to those diagrams i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for a newbie on window modules as i was able to find limited literature on the subject.

My info says that factory alarm arm should be orange (-) at the driver's door harness, white connector on the 2008 as well. It will show ground when the key is turned to lock in the driver's door key cylinder. You can follow that harness via the rubber boot into the car - usually I've found that on a Honda they'll plug into the fusebox or junction block on the driver's side of the dash. You'll connect the factory arm wire to the blue (-) trigger on your window module. You should be able to find all the wires for the windows at the driver's window switch.C Renner's Auto Electronix

ok i get that. i checked with a multimeter all the wires on the diver window switch and i guess i have a reverse polarity system for my windows. theres 2 wires per window one gets 12v when up and then another gets 12v when down. does that mean i can still use the window module?

Every power window system is reverse-polarity...the only difference is what the wires rest at. Obviously you have a reversal rest-at-ground window system on your car. All you have to do is use each wire which shows 12v when going up according to the diagram on the window module.C Renner's Auto Electronix

all right hell yea i got it to work but i tapped into a door lock wire when the doors arm. the module works but if your in the car and its turned off, key out of ignition and you press the lock button the windows start going. for me rare occurance because the windows lock upon the car reaching a certain speed so it would be a rare occurrence but thanks chris! i still was unable to find that orange cable thought :-/ oh well

The orange wire will go to the driver's door key cylinder - if you've got the door panel off it shouldn't be hard to find the wire...it may be pink inside the door instead of orange.C Renner's Auto Electronix
