no auto rearming after opening door.

Hi, i have installed an aftermarket generation alarm by(autoglow) yes this is the brand of alarm for those that dont know. I have installed it and all is working good. I set it to passive arming, locking and have enabled auto rearm. The problem is it only auto arms after you have turned the vehicle off and exit the vehicle. It will not rearm if you open the door after unlock but does if you don't open the door. I have a 2000 montero sport. I have searched the forums for and answer and could not fined one. Thanks in advance

Generally, the alarm needs to "see" door trigger, and then see the door trigger go away, to arm passively. Unless your door trigger is somehow miswired..........is is possible that you're using the domelight wire as the door trigger, and you're not waiting for the delayed domelight to turn off? If you're hooked to the domelight, passive arming won't begin until after the light times otu.

I used the green and red wire as on this site and also on audiovox. I checked at the domelight and the door trigger and they are both green and red. So is there and alternate place to hook this up like maybe at the instrument panel. there isnt a delay on the door open light. But will this work since it doesn't ever arm even after the domelight does shut off i have left it alone for well over the time limit for passive mode witch is 40sec i left it alone for over an hour. thanks

Hmm, well, that was pretty much the only idea I had, but like you were saying, if there's no delayed domelight in the car, then that's not the problem. I wonder if it's the way the unit you have is designed? I've never heard of that brand before. Is there an installation manual online that we can look at here? Do they have a tech support number you can call?

No, there is a domelight delay. I was stating that there wasnt one on the door open light on instrument panel. I also have confirmed that the wire that i hooked up to dose have the delay running through it so i think that is the problem. I havent tried hooking it up at the instrument panel yet cause i have been busy, i will post if that works. As far as a online manual cant get one cause the site is gone at the moment and as it looks it might be gone for good, As autoglow's site is down too. A buddy of mine that works for a wholesaler in dallas told me the market is doing real bad and that he has herd rumors that autoglow was going out of buisness well that suck. but i guess it a good i didnt pay for the alarm it was free,lol. the only thing i payed for was the imobileizer bypass. $15 bucks for a alarm with remote start aint bad. I i called tech support but could only leave a message, so it dosent look to good. oh well.
