hopefully someone out there can help me

i just replaced my Audiovox ap996a alarm with a Autopage 1000 system, but now i can get the door triggers to work. everything is hooked up correctly

Purple for the drivers door, PURPLE / orange left rear door.  purple /white right door and purple / YELLOW right rear door all with diodes with bands away from the alarm box.

all 4 door triggers are diode isolated and the negative trigger on the alarm(green wire) is used but when i arm the system about 45 sec. after i arm it the alarm goes off on the door trigger.  i thought about just using the domelight as the trigger but dont really want to do that if i dont have to.

thanks

You would want 4 more diodes. These diodes will go  INLINE of the door pin wires. cathode (the lines) away from the BCM, your connection to the idividual wires MUST go after the diode in line.

i wonder why it worked the way i have it wired now with the Audiovox system. Do you have any diagrams for installing the 8 diodes?

You don't need a diagram. Leave the ones you have already installed. Put 4 more on 1 ea. the individual door pin wires. With the line away from the BCM Reconnect your trigger wires with the diodes installed past/away from the diodes inline on the factory wires.

Heres a diagram that shows cutting the door pin wire. You can do it this way or simply put the diode in line, just note the psotion of the alarms wire.

If it helps I have a 06 ram had the same problem I used the pos door trigger from alarm and hooked it up to doom light + wire it does not set off alarm. I was going to add more dioades to neg triggers but this worked for me and did not need any diodes!!

forgot to mention I have a compustar that has a 90 sec delay option on the door trigger for suspended doom light like the ram if your alarm does not have this option it might not work.
