If you paid someone to install a system for you it should be hooked up using the tachometer monitoring feature. A tachometer reference will ensure the starter cranks for as long as required and not any longer. I am not familiar with that particular brand but I have not seen any units that do not have some type of tachometer reference input.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

one way or another, it should have come with an instruction guide of some sort. i would try to contact the manufacturer about obtaining one and attempt to switch it to tachometer monitor.
i remember installing one of those off-brand remote starts. it was pretty horrible, the install guide had been awfully translated.
