Just a quick question, what year did Ford GEM modules require to be "waken up" when installing an aftermarket alarm.  I am working on a 1998 expedition saturday, and am not sure if i will need to wake up the module.  Also, this vehicle has the problem with the falsing doesn't it!  I have the info i need to accomplish these tasks, just not sure if' i will need to do them.  any info will help.

thanks!!

the system wont need to be woke up, the system falses because the system will wake up if no activity to check its systems.  Sending out a pulse to check the doors, it will trigger the alarm...  yes you need to diode isolate them from the alarm and diode isolae the wires from letting the "wake up pulse" through.
you can do it....
advanced MECP, lol does it really matter....
