shaved handles, neutral safety switch

I'm just wondering how you "accidentally" hit one of those tiny little buttons on the transmitter, hanging out of the ignition ....while driving down the road?

I see there are no door handles..... but how about locks?  (ign. controlled)

The crazy thing is....these trucks have a mechanical neutral safety switch on the column which impedes the crank signal when in gear. You can't use this for your set-up.

I suggest using the light green key sense wire which sends a ground when key is in barrel. Key must be out of barrel for doors to open or close.

Here's how. Send aux (open/close) channel through the normally closed contacts of a relay. Key in barrel activates coil thus impeding door opening.

If you want to get fancy: you can add the door trigger to the above idea so that if the door is open it will allow it to close but if it's closed and the key is in barrel then it doesn't open.

Another idea, if you have a spare aux channel then you can do it so that you need to press aux to latch a relay allowing the "open" command to pass through. 

IMPORTANT Speaking from experience, add a mechanical means to open door in case of dead battery or inop system. Use a bicycle brake cable connected to the door mechanism and pass this out from the door out to some secret location.

you can use two relays (A + B),   wire as follows: 

term 86 of both relays to ignition, term 86 of relay A to key side of  neutral safety switch (yes a mechanical one is fine) with a diode (1N4001 or equiv) in series, band towards the switch, term 86 of relay B to ground, term 30 of both relays to  your aux out channel alrm etc., term 87 of relay A and term 87a of relay B to whatever you'd like to control. 

relay A uses the neutral safety switch to switch a ground (through the resistance of the starter solenoid)  closing  the contacts of this relay...relay B's contacts are opened when the ignition is turned on.
