I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado. I am having trouble installing the keyless entry in it. I found the 2 red wires for the constant power source but when I am connected to one of them I am unable to start my truck. Do I have to tap into both wires? Also where can I find the positive wire for the parking lights so that I can get them to turn on when I lock/unlock my truck? For my dome light to turn on; can I just tap into a courtesy light somewhere in the truck? Do I need to connect the ignition wire (pink wire) to the system?

You will need to hook up the ignition wire in that case since it is used for programming.
Noe are you saying that when you tap into one of your Red 12v constant wires, that your truck will not start? That does not make sense. What connections have you made so far?

I have only connected the red 12v wire, the ignition wire (pink), the unlock (white), and the lock (blue). Using the transmitter I can get the unlock to work but I can't lock the truck using the transmitter. I am sure I have the right wire for the lock.  When I try to start the truck up it just clicks like the battery is dead, then i remove the connections and it starts right up.

Where are you finding blue and white lock wires? That truck has a databus-controlled door lock system; and there are only three ways (that we know of) to add keyless entry:
1. Buy a databus interface module from DEI, Audiovox, or transponderbypass.com---this will also control the domelights for you.
2. Get four relays, run wires into each door, and perform a five-wire setup inside each door.
3. There are supposedly two open pins at the BCM that will control the locks, but you have to know just where they are, and add your own pins...I haven't tried this; just heard about it.

The blue and white wires are located in the lt. blue plug (far right) that is located in the BCM. The two problems I'm having:

1. Engine will not start when red 12v is connected--It clicks once and the power is gone--like a fuse has blown

2. Lock will not work on transmitter when connected.

Will the databus interface solve these two problems?

Yes it looks like the door locks need to be interfaced through the data wire.
