I guy that i work with recently tried putting a aftermarket radio in a 2003 Chevy S10 using a standard metra harness and tried running the acc wire to the ignition harness. Instead of using the correct large gauge orange acc wire he used a small gauge orange wire. After doing this the truck will not start.ALso the security light is constanly staying on, he put the factory radio back in and it works fine but the truck is not . I havent had a change to look at it yet but they have disconnected the aftermarket acc wire from the orange wire he used and unhooked to battery for over 10 min and still nothing, and they checked all of the fuses, also used the techtip on directechs about disarming factory security (not sure if that would undo passlock but was worth a try) but never heard any of the buzes that you are supposed to here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

just wait till the bass drops

Well sounds like someone powered the radio off of the data wire for the passlock system. Hard to tell what exactly should be your next step.
