I have an 86 Corvette, and I am installing a DEI Viper 550ESP into the vette. I have the light trigger, parking lights, siren, and power connected. Now I can't figure out how to hook up the power locks so they lock and unlock with the remote. I already know all the wire colors, but it still won't lock/unlock. I am thinking that I need a DEI 451M relay module. How exactly would I hook this up? Also after the keyless entry section is connected and working, I want to hook up the remote start. My car has VATS. Is it possible to just hook up a resistor with the ohms value of my ignition key in the remote start wiring? Thank you in advance.

Your car is 5 wire locking system. lt/blue is lock and black is lock in either kick i believe, the pass switch is the master switch not the dr door switch,  you can use a 451m it will make it a little easier.  You will have to cut the wire in half,   when the wire is cut test both sides the side take shows a plused 12volt when lock or unlock  is the switch side.  On the 451m put the purple to 12 volts,  the WHITE/ black and GREEN/ black are the lock when you cut the lock wire WHITE/ black goes to the switch side and the GREEN/ black goes to the motor side.  The BROWN / black and blue/black are the unlock when you cut the unlock wire the BROWN / black goes to switch side and the blue/black goes to the motor side.

As far as the vats test the resistor on the key.  Use the status out on the remote start to a relay put 12 volts to 86, 85 get the status from the remote start, 87 with the proper resistor goes to the white or PURPLE / white  87a goes to the key side of the white or WHITE/ black and 30 goes to the motor side of that white or WHITE/ purple.  The wires are sometimes different colors and are thin. They are located in in a tube that comes down from the key switch the tube can be orange, grey, or black, but dont use the yellow tube thats the air bag.

If you want to get getto just cut the 2 wires I said above and put the resistor on both the motor sides of the wires and tape up the key sides but doing this the vats  system is bypassed all the time so try to use the relay

hope this helps

Mega dittoes on everything above...just to clarify a typo; lock=lt. blue, unlock=black, and they are indeed reverse polarity.
