autopage 860 on a 85 cutlass

I have a situation where this is the second module that has done the same thing in two years time.  The parking light output goes out with no output coming from the wire. Fuse is good and I'm just running the regular park lights and nothing extra on it.  I'm wondering when the park lights are on during regular driving, is it back feeding to the module.  Like I said earlier this is the second module doing the same thing.  I'm thinking I need to put a relay on this output to isolate it or a diode.  Any suggestions why this could be doing this or what I can do.  It's on a 85 cutlass supreme with  an autopage 860.

ok, but I have the same system on my jeep no problems.  It.s just on the cutlass two different units doing the same thing.  Adding a relay do you think will solve this problem?

The units don't do out right away it takes about a year, year and a half for the parking light output to stop working.

This is what I discovered, the fuse panel for the park lights was 20amps so I guess I need to put a relay on that output.  I took the brain out

to send it back to autopage to get serviced for no output on the white wire and noticed at the harness that it got a little hot right around the

white wire and the red wire.  The harness was a little difficult to unplug so it was getting hot over time.  Just a little hot to where I saw a brown

spot on the plug right around the white output wire.  Is this because the draw is too high for that wire.  I know it's rated at 10amps, so 

when I get the module back I need to put a relay on that white output wire.  If that is the case, how would that be wired.
