Hello,
I recently purchased a 2W900FMR remote from Tweeters for my 2000-AS compustar security system.
The sales guy at Tweeter said that this remote will work with my model that is currently installed.
I went home today to try and program the remote and followed the steps of turning the ignition key on and off 5 times blah blah blah. It didn't work.
I tried multiple times and even tried the inserting the battery way.
Tweeter said that when they program it there is some hidden button that you press to program it but I couldn't find anything.
Is this remote really compatible with the system? Or am I doing something wrong?

You need a different antenna if you want to use the 2w900FM-R. Everything else is compatible.

Wrong guys. This is has a 2000-AS so you need a 2000R

the 2W900FMR will not program to the 2000-AS

You need to return that remote and have to special order you a 2000R or you can contact firstech and they will help you. 888.820.3690
