Trying to install a remote starter/alarm on my 2000 Explorer. I have a Code Alarm CA-670. If anyone out there can tell me where these wires go, I would be greatful. This is the third one I have put in (94 Explorer, and a 1999 F150), but I seem to be having trouble with this one. Have some wires connected, but cannot get the Explorer to remote start, nor get the alarm to work (I guess I need all of them connected to get it to work?).
22 Pin Harness
BLACK/ WHITE DOME LIGHT OUTPUT (Connected BLACK/ LT Blue dr. side kick panel)
Lt BLUE/RED MANUAL ARM INPUT    this goes to?
Lt BLUE/GREEN BLUE UNLOCK SENSE INPUT   this goes to?
BLUE/WHITE INSTANT TRIGGER INPUT (-) this goes to?
WHITE/ BLUE REMOTE START ACTIVATION (-) this goes to?
GREEN NEGATIVE DOOR TRIGGER this goes to?
WHITE PARKING LIGHT OUTPUT (Connected to brown wire at switch)
PINK CHANNEL 1 (TRUNK) this goes to?
Lt BLUE/BLACK MANUAL DISARM INPUT this goes to?
PURPLE POSITIVE DOOR TRIGGER I believe this goes to the dome light connection?
Lt GREEN/ ORANGE HEADLIGHT OUTPUT (-) (Relay installed, is it needed?)
BROWN / BLACK HORN OUTPUT (-) (Connected Lt. YELLOW /GREEN)
PURPLE / WHITE TACH INPUT (Connected at PCM Tan / YELLOW wire)
ORANGE ARMED OUTPUT (-) this goes to?
4 Pin Harness
PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT this goes to?
RED (+) 12 VOLTS BATTERY (Connected to yellow wire at ignition switch harness)
GREEN (+) STARTER INPUT(KEY SIDE)(Connected to key side of RED / light blue wire at ignition switch harness)
PURPLE (+) STARTER OUTPUT(MOTOR SIDE)(Connected to starter side of RED / light blue wire at ignition switch harness)
6 Pin Harness
RED (+)12 VOLTS BATTERY (Connected to yellow wire at ignition switch harness)
ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY 1 OUTPUT this goes to?
ORANGE / WHITE (+) ACCESSORY 2 OUTPUT this goes to?
PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 OUTPUT this goes to?
BROWN / RED (+) BRAKE INPUT (Connected Lt. Green wire at brake switch)
BLUE/BLACK (-) ACTIVE OUTPUT this goes to?
I have the PKF1 Module
Are the doors negative or reverse polarity (factory keyless)? Out of the control module I have:
BLUE/GREEN (-) 2ND STAGE UNLOCK
BLUE NEGATIVE UNLOCK/POSITIVE LOCK
GREEN NEGATIVE LOCK/POSITIVE UNLOCK
How do I wire the locks? On the 1994 Explorer I used a 451m Micro Doorlock Module, I have one of these, but I cannot remember how to hook this up.
If there is any other info I need, please feel free to let me know.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Ted

Well I have everything working, except the remote start. I have tried hooking the PKF1 transponder bypass up (http://www.bypasskit.com/getdocument.aspx?documentid=230), but cannot get it to work. If I have the key in the ignition, I can remote start it, but with the bypass hooked up, the engine cranks, the theft light flashes quickly, so I know I have something not hooked up right. Has anyone used one of these before that can help me out?
Thanks,
Ted

Try switching around the Tx and Rx wires from the PKF1...also make sure that the red wire is getting ignition and not 12v+ constant.

this goes to? this goes to?..... this is wild. Do you have ANY install experiance?

If I were you, I would get some skilled assistance.  I say this because all you have connected are 4 of the wires

from 2 of the harnesses.  I am a big fan of on the job training... but!

If you have read my other posts, you would see that I have everything hooked up and working, except the transponder bypass. As I said this is my 3rd install, and no I am not an expert, and I did not stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Thanks for your reply. I have already tried that, and have the 12v+ constant hooked to the ignition wire. Maybe a bad bypass.

Installed a new transponder bypass, everything is working great. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all of the help they gave me on this. The next time I need help, I know exactly where not to ask.
