hey im installing a immobilizer bypass in my buddy's 99 grand marquis. i got the bypass and it looks simple enough i just have two questions for the bypass wiring. the first is it needs ground when running, but its blue/white so imm assuming it just goes to status output? and also it has connections for the ECM TX and ECM RX. are those connections necessary and if so where do i catch them? actually one more question it says to either program it for unused installation or standard installation does anyone know which to use for this car. thanks.

Yes, status output = ground when running (GWR)

Yes they are mandatory connections. They are in the group of 4 wires coming down from the antenna ring at the key cylinder. They are the 2 wires that will not test as ground or ignition (only use a DMM to test these wires, NOT a test light)

The manual was written oddly IMO. The 'unused installation' is just that, not used, for any application. Use standard installation mode.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
