Hi installing a remote start in an 04 Pontiac Vibe. Do you actually cut the two ignition wires, and wire though the brain?

Directions:

Pink: (+) Ignition 1 input/output

RED / White: (30A) fused ignition 2 / Flex relay input 87

Red: (+) Fused (30A) Ignition 1 input

Pink/White: (+) Ignition 2 / Flex relay output

Am I to understnad that the Red and RED / White wires are just supposed to receive input from both ignition wires and the Pink and Pink/White wires just go back and mee the original wires for output?

No, the red & RED / white get constant 12v(+). On certain vehicles you would cut the primary ignition wire - but the key side would go to the 87a input on the flex relay.

So should I run two separate 30A fused lines directly from the battery for those then?

You could do that - it's much easier to just use the constant 12v feeds to the ignition switch. Reduce the fuse sizes accordingly - if your wiring info doesn't mention it, the white constant feed is 25A and the black is 15A.

thanks that is immensly helpful. My wiring info doesnt mention those two wires at all.

I am interested in installing the responder LE myself. Just wanted to know if It was necessary to have a bitwriter? Also with regards to the ignition wire, does it need to be Tapd into or just cut? If it is cut where doe the wires go into? The side of the harness or the other side?
