I have a 2005 Silverado base model with power door locks. I installed a Viper 571xv remote start/keyless entry with a expresskit XK01. The remote start works fine and bypasses the security but the door lock and unlocks do not work. I hooked up the green and blue lock/unlock wires from the viper to the green and blue lock/unlock wires on the XK01. When I press the lock or unlock on the remote the horn beeps once when lock is pressed and twice when unlock is pressed? Any suggestions the XK01 is AMDL.

Just so we understand better, do you have the horn connected to the brown wire of the 571?

Have you tried just pulsing the lock/unlock input of the XK01 to ground to see if it locks/unlocks?

Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

Also I did pulse the Green and Blue wires from the XK01 from ground and the only thing that happens on either one is the dome comes on.

Thanks

the outputs from the 571 are multiplexing i believe. it may not be a problem now, but you need to place diodes between the moule and the bypass. i've seen problems arise because of this on these bypasses.

sounds like dumb question, but are you testing with the key out of the ignition and the door latches closed ( so the dome light turns off)?

First off I want to thank everyone for there suggestions and comments you all have been very helpful.

I reset the XK01 to type 4 and the issue is the same.  I do not have an XKloader to verify the platform but have since ordered one and am awaiting receipt.  When received I will verify and upload the latest firmware and go from there.

I never have heard of of an issue with regards to placing a diode inbetween the bypass and module? Would I place a diode on all wires (Brown, Green, Blue) or just the brown?

Also the key is out of the ignition and the door latches are closed but I have tested various scenarios of all those options trying to determine a probable cause.

Again thanks for everyones assistance and upon arrival of the XKloader (hopefully yet this week) I will verify firmaware. If I continue to have problems I will continue this post.
