I installed RS starter and alarm along with CAN SL2 and honda SL3 on a honda Odyssey 2008.  Everything works fine except  for a little problem with the power sliding doors.

Normally, to remote open the sliding doors, all doors have to be unlocked first,  then the sliding doors will open.  I don't know where the problem is.  But when the system is locked and armed,  and I hit the button to open the sliding doors, it will send triple pulses at once, one for driver door,  one for all doors and one to open the sliding door.  So it kind of dangerous if I put the remote in my pocket and accidentally hit the button it will open the sliding door by it self and leave the vehicle unprotective.

For the RS, I set single pulse for unlock.  I know the CAN SL2 will send a double pulses to unlock.  but I got a triple pulses.  I used 3 diodes on CAN SL2 to isolate doors, hood and truck to avoid the feedback.  I use 2 AUX outputs for 2 sliding doors and I use trunk opener with 2 diodes to open 2 sliding doors at once (this could be the problem???).  Anybody can give me some input I am very appreciate.

PS: The RS is power start P-8000TW  that I bought at   http://www.gitsecurity.com/products/P8X00_eng.htm

I have a few more questions to ask if somebody knows please help.

1. The CAN -SL2 can be reprogrammed or updated after already being programmed? ( because I use bought it in 2007 but I install it on 2008 odyssey so I plan for the firmware update.)

2.  How many pulses will the CAN_SL2 be sent out for the sliding door?

3.  Can I change from double pulse unlock to single pulse on CAN SL2?

I haven't used their product on an Odyssey, but:
1. There's a USB programmer that you can use to update the modules. Must go for around $50 or something like that.
If you can find a local Fortin dealer in your area that has the cable, maybe they'd charge you a small fee and program your module for you.
2 and 3. I don't know. I wonder if that thing they're doing to unlock and then open the sliding doors.....if that can be turned off or not.
I would call them. Their tech support guys are friendly and nice.
All over their website it says "toll free tech support," but the number isn't to be found anywhere.
If you go to www.ifar.ca and look around enough, you'll find an area code 514 (Montreal) number to call, though.
