does anyone have the wiring diagram for a clifford avantguard 5.5 alarm? i need to know where the wires from the 2 connector blocks go to and what theyre for, the 8 wire small connector block, and the connector block with 17 wires going into it and one empty connection. im putting the alarm into a 1998 fiat punto gt turbo 1372cc, if anyone has a vehicle specific wiring diagram for that? i did a search and came up with one for a punto 60sx, but i think the wiring in the gt model might be different.  the alarm was only fitted new into another car 2 months ago,the code wrote on the 17 wire, 18 hole connector block is,               h04 hwam914b , if it makes any difference?  has anyone any tips on fitting this alarm to this model car? this is my first time trying to fit a car alarm.

You are going to give yourself a lot of expensive problems unless you go to a specialist installer, you will need  a wiring diagramme and the corresponding colours for your car, if it's the later shape Punto, i.e. radio mounted high up on dashboard you will need to diode block contacts from the control box lower dash r/hand side where you pick up contacts, locks indicators etc. Not the vehicle for a first time installer.

its the older shape punto, mk 1, upto 1999. i dont really have much choice but to fit the alarm myself. im out of work since january, ive my car in the driveway, with the guts of 4 and a half years wages spent on it, but no alarm or anything on it. i got a quote from a company 4 and a half hours drive from me for to supply and fit  a basic clifford concept 650 mk 2 at 980 euro and they wanted an extra 120 euro to fit a boot door popper also.i dont have that kind of money on me, but i need to get an alarm on the car, its standing me too much money not to have one on it.

anyone else know how i could get hold of a copy of the wiring labelled diagram for the avantguard g5.5?

Interesting, a 650 II is about £350 (c.€500) over here installed. The problem is to make it all work, you will need a 556U to by-pass your ignition transponder imobiliser then if your car is a poor starter on cold wet mornings, don't expect the Intellistart to fare any better and you won't be able to adjust the crank time without the relevant computor software (Clifford Wizard). N.B. Boot (Hatch) pop, I would charge at least £150 just to scsre you off, it's a rotten job getting the solenoid positioned just right plus the relay and cabling, door locks about £100 just to give you an idea, don't forget I would install the alarm/RS in a day but I wouldn't go for the R/.S the car is just too old for the ignition etc. to be spot on.

i dont have any interest in having a intellistart fitted, i dont think there is one with the alarm, there is tilt motion sensor, dual zone proximity sensor and the microphone sensor, glass breakage is it ? thats all isee with it.. i was told that if i tape one of my spare keys to the immobiliser box and take the ring from around the ignition barrel and tape it beside it that the factory immobiliser would be permanently bypassed?? any truth in this? how much wouldjust fitting in the uk cost from start to finish on this type of alarm  ? where abouts in the uk are you based?
