I need your help! Has anyone put a remote start system in a 1996 corolla? I hooked up all the wires to the ignition harness, and the car cranks but won't start. Now, when it cranks all the normal dash lights are on, except the check engine light and the battery light. That makes me think it's something wrong with one of the two ignition wires because it sounds like the car isn't getting fuel or spark. However, the car starts fine with the key, just not remotely. I thought it was a keysense problem but even with the keysense triggered it still wont start. If I put the key in and turn it to the on position and then trigger the remote start it starts fine. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, any ideas? The system is a Viper 560xv, remote start security system. Car is a 1996 corolla. Thanks guys!

put the key in the ign. switch, leave it in the off position, and remote start, if it does it's a keysense problem, if it doesn't and it's starting with the keys turned to the on position, checck your wires to see if you've connected the wrong ignition wires corollas normally have two ignition wires that read the same but one is the true ignition.
