2008 dodge ram, aps25, parking lights

i installed a basic prestige aps25 onto a 08 dodge ram. the install went great the only issue i had was locating the parking light wires. the diagram shows WHITE/ yellow and WHITE/ gray wires low in the kick panel on the drivers side.  i could not find them at all.  i did locate the WHITE/ yellow wire at the headlight switch but once it was connected and tested it blew the 2mp fuse for the ignition switch.  a installer buddy of mine told me to locate the LF side and RT side parking light fuses and connect the positive side of the fuses by way of wire and reinstall the fuses into the fuse box then connect the two wires to the alarm out put.  this worked until i tuned the ignition on and the 2 amp fuse blew again.  can someone possibly assist me on figuring out the correct way to connect the parking lights to the aps25?arl

most newer Dodge products are a MUX park lamp circuit... relay and resistor to ground....Kevin Gerry

Where are you getting power for the Aps25? You mention the igntion switch fuse blowing and the only reason i can see is you are getting power from that source which isn't enough....Mike M2

you can pick up the parking light wire at the front lamp assembly on the driver side and run it inside the truck.
