Since I'm not that good and can't guess could you possibly tell me what make, model and year and whether it's an auto or manual trannie?

You guys are both SO wrong, I just got my Crystal Ball back from service.   The car is an FTO, I really have no clue as to what kind of vehicle that is.

FTO is (was) a little gem with a 2L V6, dead easy if you know em, easy mirror fold etc.Trunk contact wire a pain, rest easy.  Think Honda Prelude or much better Toyota Celica of the early 90s

That's what it looked like in my Crystal Ball, I just didn't want to look like an idiot incase that was not the case.
I have looked as close as I can, I still can't make out if it is an automatic or a manual transmission.

not sure if I appreciate all the "crystal ball" sarcasm, it was a genuine question? I can't see why all the fuss over make, model auto or manual etc. as I thought all remote starts were basically the same kit with generic features and that the specifics were sorted out during the install? I was only trying to find out if I need a SPECIFIC module to interface with my viper or if I can get a universal one? for all those with the interest in what I drive it's a MY95 "M" registration mitsubishi FTO manual 2.0L V6 GR in pyrenees black engine number DE3a with a small scratch on the bottom of the drivers door
is that enough info? viper 5000, which remote start module? -- posted image.

OK, The idiot wins, Kar Tune gets some points and I get none!!!  BUT I'm the one who's installed to these vehicles including mirror fold. The sarcasm is because the rules state make model and transmission, eg you will need an MTM model if it's a manual. Viper do an add on for their alarm range but it's only obtainable through specialists like myself, general car audio shops wouldn't stock it. It works via your existing remote.

How come you didn't have to have a Cat 1? Isn't the insurance company chasing you?

thanks for all the replies - let's just forget it now I'm not going to bother as it seems I can't compete with the one-upmanship that's going on
BTW mirror fold isn't that hard, DEI stuff is fairly accessible if you know what to order and my insurance don't insist on any security at all
