04 silverado, valet 552t

ok so i got a new(to me) 04 silverado truck from my company and it has a valet 552t installed but it doesnt work. it also has the 555l bypass and the 456g(forgot what its called) well when i found the remote the batt was dead so i bought a new one. also i dont have the factory keyfob but i was able to program one in that is for my buddies truck just to see if the factory keyless would work. i tried erasing the remote from memory and re programming it but that didnt work. i did the on board diagnostic and it told me the last shutdown was a neg trigger(no idea what that means) so if any of oyu guys can hel;p me to get this working so i dont have to take it in to someone i would greatly appreciate it. I have downloaded the install guide but havent figured out the problem yet.

I would start by checking the hood pin. Make sure it is not corroded, and is making a good connection.

forget it i yanked it all out. i hate fixing someone else's doodie install. ill just get a new model and start from scratch. thanks anyway..
