we just installed a car start/keyless entry in an '05 corolla. when finished, the daytime running lights no longer worked and the parking lights once turned on, would stay on until you bumped the starter with the key. overall, the job went well and everything else worked. all fuses are good. no unplugged harnesses. we are dumbfounded on what could have happened. we removed everything that we installed and no change. any ideas??

did you use negative parking lights? hopefully someone else will chime in and correct me if i'm wrong. . . but i believe if you use neg. parking on some of these late model toyotas you can fry the "light control module" or whatever they call it. same with the pontiac aztek if memory serves

you can use the negative park lights on any toyota and not have a problem

on corollas its easier to use the green wire in the kick panel its with the brake and door pin all in the same harness in the running board harness

the only thing i can think of is if you went to the daytime running light module for ebrake(manual trans) and you broke a wire up there its an easy place to mess up
