Hello all, I am a newbie here and appreciate any help I can get.

I have a 2002 Ford Diesal truck.  The Astrostart has worked flawless since I purchased the truck used about 4 years ago.  The Astrostart was in it when I got it.  Now all of a sudden it won't do anything.  I have tried to get the start fail codes to help, but that won't even help, nothing happens on the truck when I try.  I have tested with a test light and have power at the two big red wires coming into the brain that controls the starting/stopping.  I replaced the relay that is in the wiring system.  The batteries in my transmitter have tested good, I took them out and tested them.  I can put the transmitter next to the brain box and still get nothing.  The transmitter does its normal beeping and green led flashing thing that it usually does when it works.  Also the little RED LED light on the brain box is not lighting up, but I am not sure if it is suppose to light up.  The 9 little switches on the brain box are all in the down position.  The on/off switch is functioning, It has constant power and when I flip it to on it has power on the other terminal.  The hood pin switch is working, I put test light on positive post of battery and when I push it down the light goes out.  I have been messing with it for three days and am about to burn my pickup.  Oh yea and there are no dealers around my area.

I forgot to mention that the starter was replaced and it hasn't worked since then.

Relearn the TX. put dip#8 in the up position, hit the brake, press unlock on the TX, pu #8 down, hit the brake pedal again.... done!

(TX=the transmitter)    Does the LED on the brain light up when you hit the brake pedal?

If not check your ground to the brain.

None of this worked to fix the problem.

The red led does not light up when you push the brake pedal or when you press any button on the TX

I checked the ground and it is good.

If you had someone work under the hood maybe switch isn't working.

If the LED isn't flashing on the unit.... there is no power to it!

Get your meter out and test the 2 reds on the P4 connect.

I have power to the two outside red wires on P4.  those red wires would be #1 and 7.  On P2 I have power to 1,2 and 9.  I still don't get the LED Red light to come on.

I have an Astrostart 1100  installed in my truck.  I have come to the conclusion that the module has got to be messed up and was wondering if anybody has tried to send something to Astroflex to get fixed and had any luck.

thank you
