Actually i need help aswell, not tryin to thread jack but theres no point in startin another thread if we both need help in the same thing.

My question is where do i connect wires from the alarm to?

  • Blue 200ma - status output
  • ORANGE / Black 200ma anit grnd/Grnd when arm
  • Violet - 200ma starter trigger
  • Orange - 200ma accessory trigger
  • Pink - 200ma ingnition trigger
  • Yelow + ignition input to remote start
  • Pink/White 200ma programmable ign/accessory

I would also have to run the BLACK/ White nuetral safety input to toggle switch(for saftey) then to my parking brake(ebrake) right ...

the BLACK/ white neutral safety wire can be run to a switch where one side is grounded, or you can just ground the wire, the other wires all depend on what type of vehicle ur installing it in.

1/2) blue 200ma status output is used to power up bypasses but in your case it is not required. However, i suggest you throw in a starter kill or antigrind.

   - grab a relay and 2 diodes. place one diode, cathode end (white marking on diode) to the blue wire towards the alarm and one on the Orange ground when armed wire as well. Join the two together and run it to the relay like so:

85 - Ground when armed and status output both diode isolated

86 - ignition at ignition harness 12v
cut the starter wire in half
87 - starter wire key side
30 - starter wire motor or away from the ignition cylinder
this prevents the car from being started when armed, (can still be push started though) and prevents starter grind when you already started the car incase you forget and turn the key to start.

3) violet wire not required

4/5/7) additional outputs to power relays if you need additional accessory or ignition power for remote start portion.

6 - connect that wire to the ignition wire from the key cylinder

once the xcrs is hooked properly it should take care of  starter kill, anti grind and still be able to be  remote started, so canstopthis i don't think you'd need any wires from that harness.

Ok maybe i should have mentioned this but im new to all this electrical stuff, i know the basics but wanna get to know more. I am goin to be installin this alarms(well actually cliffordx50.5) and want to make sure i have everything down before i attempt to install it. This alarm will be goin in a 94 honda civic with power windows and lock. I have everything down except the remote start.  so T&TTech, your saying i wont even need to run any of those wire i listed at all? or do i do what Tedmond said, i still dont know where to run any of the other wires.

t&t tech, man you are right. i didnt even notice that it was a viper unit. my bad about the info. its correct but the viper has a starter kill built into its relay starter pack which is a nice touch.

spot on, once the remote and the brain came together though, most likely it's pre programmed, but if you do need to program it, turn ignition on press the valet switch twice holding on the second press, when you hear the siren chirp press the lock button, the siren should emit a long chirp, and ur good to go. of cours all the relavant connections should be in tact for everything to run smoothly, hit me back if u need more help.
