Hey guys after getting my b*lls busted installing a used starter I decieded to rip it out and went with a Viper 5900. I got it installed today and all is good. :) I wired it to use channel 4 neg output going to a dpst relay. I want to remote turn on my 5000watt power inverter, outside floods and the inside 4' High Output Flor light. Its working now but only for 3 sec or so then shuts off. If I hold Aux and lock the relay will stay powered until I let go.

Can someone walk me threw how to program aux4 to stay on when requested and shut off when requested.

Any help would be great and thanks guys.

Well I'm all set. Today I finished it up, programmed it using the program button. Its easier then it seemed when I first looked at it.

I love the viper 5800 sst, But I am wondering if a 5901 would be plug and play? Can anyone confirm it?

If you installed the 5900 yourself, then you must have the programming guide for the various output channels. I have a 5900, and have several channels operating several devices based on remote commands, remote start sequenced commands, and states of momentary and latched channels.

IF you want a channel to operate 'latched' until next command, then you need to choose the channel you wish use, and then configure the brain to send a latched output to that channel on remote command. If you then drive a relay (or, perhaps, in this case due to load, a chain of relays -> CH. [4 or x] -> Relay -> throws ground to several relays in parallel) you should be able to operate whatever you'd like on that relay until the next remote command.

This is my .02$ based on my own installs. I am not a professional installer.
