I'm having some problems w/ the remote start system in my xB
It is not attempting at all to start the car. I get an error signal on the remote, then hear the relays clicking.
I have hooked up the remote start wires the same as in this post
[url[https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~108499~PN~6[/url]
except my car does not have the 2 green wires running to the ignition. I think this was part of the stock security, which I do not have. and I'm not even getting to the point where it will turn over.
I have also:
hooked up and tested the tach,
grounded the neutral safety (AT),
tested the brake,
tested hood pin,
plugged in the safety switch and have it in the 'on' position
The only other wires I have hooked up are the 12+ constant, ground, siren, door, lock/unlock, antenna, and parking lights on the main harness. Everything else is working perfectly. Locks, unlocks, door triggers alarm, etc.
I have a feeling like I am just missing something simple. Should any other wires be hooked up?   sorry this is only like my 3rd install, and the 1st in a really long time.
I have tried it also w/ the key in the ignition, in the ACC, and ON position w/ the same results.
Thanks in advance!

You don't mention what year XB? All of them have 2 ignitions that need to be connected, are they? New XB's have 2 starter wires, are they connected?

Hooked up both ignitions as such: pink to black, pink/white to BLACK / YELLOW.

How many flashes of the parking lights are from the vehicle ? The number of flashes will give you an idea of what causes the fail start.

I honestly don't remember them flashing at all. I'm not near my car now, so I'll have to check later on.

Had you changed the remote start feature to automatic transmission yet ? If the fail start code is 7 flashes and  that could be your problem. cuz clifford 3.3x came with defaulted for manual transmission.

You should find all these in the installation manual.

Thanks!
I'll have to check that. Anything for me to check out would be helpful at this point.

dang I am so stupid. I should read the manual.
That was exactly the problem. Set it to automatic, and it works perfectly.
I just noticed my parking lights aren't flashing, but hopefully that's just something simple
