I am about to install a viper remore start alarm in an IS300 with a standard tranny. I was wondering if anyone out there new what would be required to do the clutch bypass. Please note I have not put my hands on the vehicle yet im just trying to get all my info before I get to it. Thanks

the clutch will either be negative or posive system. take a dmm and test the wires at the clutch to see.

if its negative there will be one wire that is always grounded and the other wire will go to ground when the clutch is pressed to the floor. if this is the case take your GWR or status output wire it to a relay and send a negative to that wire.

if it 12v +, one will test 12v with key in ignition start position. other shows 12v when clutch is pushed down. if this is the case then take your start wire from the rs unit and wire it straight to the wire that shows 12v when pushed. Knowing that a Lexus is300 is new, it could also be data.

If you take the start output from your viper to the black at the clutch switch INSTEAD of the BLACK/ white at the ign. harness, your clutch bypass is now complete.

Remember.... you do NOT connect the start output from the viper to the start wire at the harness.

can I ask why not?
Oh and one more question, the trunk release supposedly is blue/white and it is in the module above the fuse box where you find all the door triggers right? well, it there another place where this wire can be found because when I text the wire with the meter I don't get any change in potential and I dont want do interface it without making sure.
thanks
