I just installed a python 872 and xk01 in my 02 trailblazer.  The xk01 says that it will control the hatch via the datawire and it does not.  i was wondering if this is uncommon or if I need to diode isolate.  My xk01 did freeze up initially so I am unsure.

Also, I can not find the correct parking light wire.  I have found three brown wires in the kick panel but they are not controlling the lights.  Is there a specific place I can go that will work for sure?

Thanks for the help.

I agree, gray/black at the back of the switch, negative. There are two, it's the one on the bottom row...

Ok I have it all installed with the parking wire hooked up to the neg BLACK/ grey wire on the headlight switch.  Except now my HU seems confused.  The illumination wire is hooked up to the BROWN / white wire at the headlight switch.  The radio will jump in and out of night mode when the headlights are on and this wasn't happening until I installed the alarm.  The wire is not loose and it always fixes itself, but every now and again it jumps to day mode for about ten seconds.  What could the problem be?

Also, when i remote start the alarm goes off after a few seconds.  The alarm shows that it is zone 1 which is my audio sensor.  I was wondering how common it was for music to set off the sensor since it would be playing when the truck is started.
