This is rather a strange one, wonder if their are any equivalent problems in North America.  The vehicle has two ignition leads, when fitting a UK Cat l alarm with two immobilisation points, you can cut the starter and either ignition lead to get the desired result. If you add an R/S and then attempt a remote start, the alarm triggers. I found I had to use the status output to trigger a normally closed relay to open circuit the 2nd ignition because it was feeding back through the ignition switch to the first ignition  and triggering the alarm. I've never seen this before on another vehicle. Any one seen anything like it?

How could we have seen that problem.  I think I have seen 3 Peugeots in my lifetime.    OK maybe only 2 I lied.

Craig, in the last 3 years I've done one Mustang and one Ram, the Mustang was a pig, didn't realise it had that stupid open-circuit hood switch, just like our Fords and the Ram was dead easy (double pulse to unlock then a 1 second delay?) except I had sheets on it from here, Audiovox and DEI, and they all got 1st ignition wrong! Peugeots/Citroens are a pig to do because:- Badly made dissembling switch panels etc. is heart in mouth, the wiring is all pastel colours, no secondary,  change colours every 3 months, don't assume red is perm 12v+, it could be indicator, parking brake etc., indicator lever, horn push, hazard are all data till you get to the engine bay fuse box. Locks- I've had 1 wire, neg to unlock, open circuit to lock, low neg, and sometimes said F**k it and gone to the BSI (body systeme integrate) box.  To get at the motor wires instead. Thats a piece of work, it has to removed to be got at by removing all the plugs, 3 large and up to 3 quadlock, all upside down then slid out, then replaced,  the quads without their covers for testing. Valeo the manufacture, their UK branch couldn't give me any details, I'd have to phone France. What happens is it's not a second ignition which dumps, on cranking, they both share ign features such as coil plugs, injectors fuel priming at start, the second feeds back during remote start to the first and the alarm thinks oh ign tamper, I'll scare them away! Short of the relay the only other answer would be an 80 amp diode!
