I am installing a Scytech Electronics Galaxy 2000MDL (addon remote start module) to a 2007 Dodge Ram. I ordered a PKU-CH2GX and got an IB-UCH2X (I assume they are the same). I wired it all up and when it attempts to start it blows the #22 fuse ( I think IGN fuse) its just a 2AMP fuse.I have tried with the key in the ignition and with the key in the "On" position with the same results. I am confused where on the bypass  it says "Violet:: 12Volt starter input to remote starter (wire parallel with vehicle start wire)" but the vehicle start wire is a negative where this wire is a positive. I wired my remote start module 12V input to the blue/red in the IGN harness  and am wondering if maybe it cant carry enough voltage?  Any other ways to do this are greatly appreciated..

Where did you grab the 12 volt power for the Scytech unit ? Also, the starter wire that they are referencing is the starter wire that comes off the Scytech unit. On some new Dodge vehicles there is a (+) starter wire that you also have to attach to the bypass, but if it's not there, then just use the one off the remote starter.

Don't use the 12 volt in the ign harness it is only 2 amps that is the probably the fuse you are blowing. There is a electronic brake controller plug just under the dash that is going to be your best best. If not run to the battery

That's where I was going with the power wire question  2007 dodge ram addon remote start -- posted image.. I always go to the battery seeing that it's just on the otherside of the firewall. Use 8 gauge wire and attach it to the battery and solder it to the two red leads on the remote starter. There's a plastic plate that you can drill a small hole into just to the left of the brake.

I'm going to go with pulling power from the battery as I figured the 2AMP wasnt enough to support the remote start.....To Velosity...I had ran a jumper to the + start wire that is by the battery (Yellow/Gray I believe) from the Sytech Violet start output wire  but kept blowing the 2AMP fuse (Not enough to run the starter)...I will have to get past the resistors after this...Thanks a lot guys and I will keep you updated.
