Does anyone know if the Astrostart 803 has a reset button or typically have a fuse installed somewhere?   My mom's 2004 Toyota Corolla has one that had been working - then the battery went dead and after it was recharged the remote car starter does not work.

These units are "sensative" to spikes in voltage.

Remember, anytime you jump start the car, or happen to change the battery.....flip the on/off into the OFF position.

What happens when you try and remote start the car? (find the brain, and look at the LED... count the flashes AFTER the unit does not start)

I agree with kar tuneman, the 803's are sensative, you may have blown the input diode on the main board

You need to look at the brain and count the LED flashes.... this number will be related to a start failure code.

Does the keyless aspect of the unit still function?

I will have to take a look - didn't have much chance to explore the situation before we had to leave my mom's house. I assume the brain is under the dash.
Didn't see any activity from the remote when pressing the start button.
