I have a 791xv in my Blazer about 3 years. The last couple of days it will only crank occasionally with the key. Always cranks and starts with the remote. Even if it will not crank with the key I can take over with the key and everything is fine. Ignition switch replaced 2 years ago. If I unplug the control wires on the relay pack there is no change when it will not crank with the key. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the contacts in your ignition switch are gone, you can check this by checking the starter wire yellow or purple coming from the back of the ign switch, check the wire during crank if there is no 12volts on that wire I would replace the switch again, or you could use a jumper wire from 12v to the starter wire to see if it cranks

before you change the switch again, use Bond's suggestion and test for voltage out of the switch on the start wire. if you have voltage there, then test for voltage on the purple side of the start wire while you use the key. you may have a problem there with the anti grind circuit.
