Sounds like a 9275 or 9276, depending how old it is. Is the LED blinking brightly when you push buttons? If so simply reprogram. Find your program button. It will either be a LED button that blinks red when you push lock, or a simple old gray housing black button. They are both fairly small.
Find your program button, have it, a valid key, and your transmitters to be programmed.
Turn the ignition to on
Press and release the program 3x
Press and hold Lock on the transmitter until the unit clicks (possibly the horn will honk too) repeat on each transmitter.
Press and release program button once to advance to ch 2
Press and hold Unlock on each transmitter until the unit clicks
Press and release program button to advance to ch 3
Press and hold the green remote start button on each transmitter until the unit clicks
Press and release the program button to adavnce to ch 4
Press and hold the gray option button on each transmitter until the unit clicks
Turn the ignition off and wait 10 seconds and test each button on each remote for function.
If it still doesnt work you may have a wiring issue, or a dead/broken/damaged transmitter.

Sorry that would be an Audiovox/Prestige 9275T or 9276A
If you are handy with electrical, you can pull the dash down and look at the unit itself. There will be a white sticker with the model # somewhere on it.
