I have a CT 3371 prostart remote starter. I've installed all the required wires mentioned on the wiring diagram for the 96 Ford Explorer that I downloaded from ProStarts website. I programmed the key fob to the unit, doors unlock/lock, parking lights flash. I trained the tach. tach setting worked as the manual said. But when I try to start the car. It goes through the process, but it does not start. It flashes the parking lights 3 times slowly. The manual says this means the Parking brake is enabled,or the yellow wire is reconnected. Yellow wire is snipped and taped though. But in the wiring diagram it says the orange wire for the parking brake input,, is not needed. So I tried to ground the parking brake (Orange wire) and now I get 2 slow flashing lights? I notice that when I push down the parking brake, I do not get indicators that it is onin the dash lights? maybe the switch is bad there. But its a automatic vehicle, so it should be used. If it was used. Maybe its getting its indication from another wire I already have hooked up andsince the switch is faulty. Its not getting signal. I don't think so anyhow as the orange wire is specifically for parking brake and for the 96 ford explorer, it says its Not used. Any ideas guys?
