I just got a new car, Mustang 2001 v6 3.8
The factory alarm that came with it is working fine, for example it can open and lock my doors but the thing that is wrong with it is that when I activate it the alarm would not go off. Like when I activate it when im inside my car then I wait a couple of minutes then open the door form the inside it does nothing the alarm does not even go off.
Any help or tips I can use to fix it

you dont have an alarm. you most likely just have a keyless entry.

Panic and an alarm are two different things.

Yes, the factory usually just gives you a full-featured keyless entry...........that is, it's got panic, it's got horn-honk with second lock, and it turns on the domelight when you unlock.
Those are all features you'd often pay extra for when buying an aftermarket keyless entry.
But still, they didn't give you an alarm.
So basically, you have a full-featured keyless, but that's it.
If you want an alarm, but you like the factory remotes, they make alarms that can use the original remote.......Audiovox PRO-9233, or DEI's Automate AM1 are two examples.
