2008 chevy diesel remote start

i am not that familiar with the fortin products, does it come with a ring for the key cylinder? if not you will need to use a universal transponder ( providing it is new style chev) with a key in it.Liquid Audio Styling & Sound Ltd.

CAN-SL2 should handle the immobilizer bypass, R-code data, and doorlocks. The only issue might be with the tach. Audiovox lists it as white at the ignition coil which is obviously incorrect, but since that truck starts up like a gas engine(no wait-to-start period) and has factory anti-grind, voltage sensing mode won't harm anything. (Or turning engine checking off, if your remote start has that option.) Apparently this is a self learning bypass that requires a key for programing but not for operation.always learning

The wiring should be identical to the gas engine '07-up full-size pickups, excepting the tach wire obviously. The old and new Duramax engines are quick starting, so there's no need for a time delay between "ignition on" and "crank", or connection of a wait-to-start wire to the vehicle.C Renner's Auto Electronix
