OK, this is my first time installing an alarm on a car and I'm confident that i can do it, just have a few questions.
I'm installing a python 881xp which I'm switching over from my 2000 Pontiac Grand AM to my 2000 Ford Crown Victoria Police interceptor. it was installed with a DEI model 555L, a 451M relay, and the satellite.
1) just wanted to know if, in the relay satellite key switch interface, i have to cut the starter wire and connect the starter side to the purple "output to starter circuit wire" and the key side to the green "onboard starter kill" wire.
2)should the Violet/white "tachometer input" wire be spliced with the ground wire, or can i disconnect that and attach it to the tachometer
3)and in the model 555L where do i connect the yellow, black, BLACK/ white, BLACK / YELLOW, and violet wires; please don't use abbreviation and locations of the wire in that car would be helpful.
4) in the 451m Relay, the blue/black and the GREEN/ black wires were spliced together, and the BROWN / black and WHITE/ black where not used, is this OK for the crown vic? where do they go connected? and as above, no abbreviations and locations would be helpful
thank you guys in adavance

well you may need your relay pack if it has 5 wire door locks

your 555l is a gm bypass

and is no use in a ford

why would you want to ground your tach wire

did you read the install manual and the wiring info yet

that would be your first step

well, like i said, this is coming off of my grand am, so what it had on is what i got;the python 881xp, the DEI model 555L, a 451M relay, and the satellite, and the harnesses that connect them. i don't have relay packs or anything else.
i download the install manual for the python 881xp, just am unsure if i have to do what i said in #1; and the tach was grounded when i got it off of the grand am, just wanted to make sure that it was an error by the people that first installed it.
thanks for letting me know about the 555L
and i didn't know that there are manuals for the rest
any more info any body?

You will need to use dei xko4 bypass module for remote start (very easy to install), and 2 relays for your locks.  Its a five wire and the wires are in the driver door.
