I'm installing a Crimestopper add-on remote start that will utilize the OEM remotes. It needs 3 consecutive negative pulses to activate the remote start, such as pressing the lock button three times. The problem is that the brown wire at the door lock latches once it gets locked the first time. Any ideas on where else to connect this wire to?

Definitely, lock motor wire to trigger a relay, and the relay to trigger the remote starter.
You do know you'll be forced to unlock the car with the key when the remote starter is on, right? Toyota/Lexus remotes don't work with the car running.

Thanks guys, I worked around it by connecting to both the lock and unlock and diode isolating them, that way I could hit lock/unlock/lock to activate. Then I realized that the remotes don't work when the car is running!!! DOH! Oh well, I just ordered the aftermarket remotes and antenna to convert it to a conventional remote start/keyless system.
